Cab 50 % done!

Hello there!

I just wanted you to be updated about our Truck project!

After we took the cab to Wescon, we cleaned the whole cab and painted the areas which usually get rusted with POR15. This should avoid the rust for many years. After we put on the bed-liner Gator Guard II.

The next step will be the preparation of fenders, doors and exterior cab for painting.

Braden is on vacation for 2 weeks. For this period we stopped working on it but we still plan to be back on the road by mid november. But I'm pretty busy at work right now so I can use some time for myself after work... :-)

This weekend my buddy Kevin (the road trip guy) will visit me on the Island.
This is gonna be a legendary weekend. We also plan to see my buddies in Victoria again.

I'll take some pictures!!!

Bye for now

Wet Paint!

I know I'm actually very late with my "weekly" post. But here it comes!

Last week we painted the frame. First we cleaned it properly with Marine Drive cleaner and after we painted it with POR15. This paint suppose to go underneath rust and converts it into a component of the actual paint. The bad thing is, if it gets onto your skin, you won't be able to get rid of it for weeks =)

as I mentioned: weeks

We also visited the States to get the "new" cab for Braden's truck.
It was a nice drive and it took us a whole day to get to Sumas,WA and back home. Here're the pictures!

this is the straight street along the US border (right site is the USA)

And I took nice sunset pictures!
The Mountains on the very end is one of the little Islands right before Vancouver Island.

This weekend we going to paint the cab interior and exterior and this time I'll try to avoid paint in my skin :-)

Bye Bye for know!

Have you seen the Bird?

Hello Hello!

News from Canada!
Last weekend we went out for hunting. We woke up early thinking there would be more deers out than during the day but unfortunately we didn't even see one.

Well, we got a Bird... yeah... so we saved our Dinner. Less meat but better than nothing :-)

I actually didn't see the Bird until he got shot!
Watch here...!

Yeah and then we come to our new project!

Braden decided to fix the cab on his truck. But after a few hours working on it the whole project turned into an even bigger project. We decided to make it perfect and we going to replace the whole cab.

We started last weekend.
Right now we are cleaning and painting the frame. Next week we'll paint all body parts (unless we don't find a cap) and then we'll put everything back together. Easy xD

We predict the Truck will be running again in one month :-)

So this is how I'll spend my last few days/weeks/month in canada! But its fun and I still enjoy it!

Thanks for being interested!
See you soon, Chris
