Another Week

Hello Guys!

I hope you're feeling good and you had a nice weekend!

I'll start with telling you about my workweek. As you know I configure a Software to make the work in the office and the communication between office and production more efficient. 

At the beginning of the week I had a good "online meeting" with the software company concerning the module "production control". I asked question and the advisor gave me almost in every question a satisfactory answer. After this phone call I could continue my work on a "paperless production". We target to implement the first Workstations (assembly sash and conturex machining) on next friday. Braden bought already the workstations (pc) and scanner to realize it in practice. My job is to configure and set up the Workstation and to organize a workflow in how to exchange information between each workstation with barcodes.

Unfortunately the software database crashed every day since Wednesday and since then we couldn't feed the conturex machine with more orders to produce. And this is a problem for our company. We lose time and money. 

I wrote some emails to the software company and we hope to get a solution on monday morning. And that is the reason why we need to start working at 5:30 AM  tomorrow (time difference of 9 hours). 

So, right know it goes up and down with my work. But I'll think positive and I'm exited of next week.

My weekend was good. We had not that bad weather as forecasted. And we went into the outdoor to see bears and other animals. But still nooooottthing! Braden and me just heard one bear but we didn't see him :-( Perhaps next time...
I also did some work on my truck. I tried to bleed my brakes and to fix the whole brake issue, and I was frustrated and and and and... I printed some "for sale" sheets! Now my truck is standing at the roadside for Sale. I'd like to say "shit happened"... but this is another story...

On Sunday I meet Braden's grandparents. We had dinner together. It was really exiting to hear how they come to Canada. And Braden's Grandma can understand german and she was also able to speak some german words ("Ich habe vergessen" waren ihre ersten worte). But the surprised point was that Braden's grandma is almost the same age as my grandma and he comes also from "Preussen" as my grandma. But my grandma decided to stay in Germany and Braden's decided to move to canada. Funny, huh? :-)

oh and by the way: Best wishes to all my grandparents. I'll sent you postcards very soon... :-)

Nice View

Hello People!

I hope you all feel fine!

Today after work we decided to meet the Forest with our high-tech-vehicles. Few minutes and our Trucks were ready to go. After 5 km driving we reached our Place to take off. 

We drove very small roads with many big rocks. We really climbed the hill! ;-) 

It was not a easy Way to get this nice point of View but we got it!

And after 1 hour we went back home... :-)

Night Night !!!

Trombone is arrived

Surprise Surprise... This week my Trombone arrived! My Brother Andy sent it just after my departure to Canada. It took almost 1 month :-) I have no idea why, but I had to pay almost 40 bucks taxes to get my trombone. And Andy paid 50 Euro for shipping. A kind of weird.

But now I'm happy to have it here and I can start playing!

And yesterday I did my first ride through the forest with my dirt bike. And Braden showed me some good roads.

It is so much fun! I love this bike... To much power but I love it :-)

I guess that's all for this weekend. Today I do some house work and tomorrow is chill Sunday!

New Toy

Hello, Today we installed our brand new dart board.

To protect the wall of Braden's house we programmed/designed a cnc sheet at the PC. Yesterday we machined it and primed the panel. Today I did just a little detail work (screwing the dartboard on the panel and highlighting the letter in red color)... 

And here we go. Thats the result.

I did it !!!

Hello sunny Germany!!!

I hope you all enjoy the good weather. Today we had also a good weather but not as hot as in Germany.

I have big news... I did it...Back to the roots (KTM) :-)

When I went to Canada I was always thinking about to buy a Truck. They are not expansive on Vancouver Island. But I had never thought that it will happens so early.
This weekend was a really exciting weekend. I checked the page "usedvictoria" for good deals a longer time. And there was not only one good deal for me...

I'll make it short! I bought a Truck in Victoria and a Dirtbike too. xD It's common to have something to drive trough the forest ... 

Ford F150, Straight 6 cylinder, 4.9 L (1996)

KTM ECX 360ccm 2-Stroke (1997)

I'm really happy with these vehicles. The KTM has many spezials like a board computer (Trail Tech enduro), Scott steering stabilizer or Pro-circuit exhaust. There is nothing to do but rinding.

The Truck is also very nice. It's not a new one but it has really low kilometres (165 000) . The engine is a "never die engine". It has also a 4wd and good tires. Tomorrow I will arrange my insurance for the Truck. And after my motocross gear is arrived (which we ordered today), I will do my first trip trough the mountains.

Test Door

Hello guys,

A customer ordered a special Door. The house number should be engraved into the door. 

But before we'll produce this door we did a "test" on friday. It was my job to design the test door and Braden taught me how to do it correctly (which tools should the machine use, how deep should be the groove...).

Here you can the that the test was successfully.

I'll "post" again tomorrow. And I'll call the post "I did it!!!" Guess what happened ;-)

Accommodation

 I've really forget to show you my Accommodation. But now...

Port Renfrew

This weekend we spent all the time in Port Renfrew in a House without Internet, Cable or Cell Phone.  Sounds bad - but it isn't :-)

Patrick has a fishing business and for this he bought this house in Port Renfrew. He uses it mainly for Tourists which want to spend a whole weekend fishing in the Ocean. 

On Friday we didn't so much because we arrived late. We've started the fire, had a nice dinner and watched movies.

On Saturday morning after a heavy and good breakfast we looked for bears in the outdoor.

On Sunday we drove back and checked some good places for hunting.

Unfortunately we saw no bear. Nothing. Only a couple of deers. Probably it's to early for bears. Perhaps next week or after next week... We will see! I wish all a good new week...

Oh... one more thing. This evening for dinner we ate chicken rolled up in Bacon with BBQ Sauce. Mhhh... Never eaten before - but it was really good ;-)
